When I open Word, I got activate Office prompt, then I entered the product key and hit install. I got install complete and restart Office message, but after restart, I got the activation prompt again. Jun 19, 2018 · I'm trying to activate XP SP2 (upgraded to SP3), and it won't work. I tried the settings described here to no avail. Whatever I do, I get the "Configure your network settings" screen, and if I click next or skip, it eventually fails to connect to the server.
I talked to Lenovo, the manufacturer of my PC, and they said that my REAL key for my original Windows 8 that came with the PC was saved in the BIOS. So I decided to do a hard reset of Windows 10, removed all my files and everything, and once the reset was done I wasn't even prompted to provide a key, it automatically activated itself.
